Data pivoting

Multiple dimensions are often easier to look at when you pivot one of the dimensions horizontally. When pivoted, each value in the dimension becomes a column in your data view. This makes the information easier to consume visually and reduces the need to scroll to find data.  

Pivot by a dimension 

  1. Hover over the dimension in the field picker and click Pivot data. 

  2. Select Run to re-run the query. 

Unpivot a dimension 

You can unpivot a field in one of two ways: 

  • Click the field’s gear icon at the top of the column and click Unpivot  

  • Select the dimension's Pivot data icon again in the field picker
